Review by hotel critic
The rooms are spacious and outfitted with essentials-think comfy beds, a flat-screen TV, and a mini-fridge. While I was surprised there was no breakfast offered, the staff was helpful when approached, though communication could be a hurdle at times. The motel feels more like a home with its modern, clean decor and amenities like free Wi-Fi and laundry facilities. The peaceful setting, with its proximity to downtown Dartmouth and a lakeside path, really stands out. If you're in Halifax seeking comfort without breaking the bank, Lake City Motel might just be your best bet. Not too shabby for a base while exploring the gems of Canada.
